Save Time & Cut The Fat

I had my son 15 months ago and I’ve also gained 15 pounds since I’ve given birth.

I’m over it!

Now I’m not really beating myself up about it, but my clothes don’t fit well and I need to be able to chase after my son to be toddler, at 40. So some (a lot) of this weight had to come off.

I recently had surgery so I can’t really exercise like I want to, yet. Not to mention my herniated discs in my back. So I’m going to start adjusting my eating habits by drinking fruit & vegetables smoothies for two meals, each day. I decided to prep some smoothie freezer bags.

I won’t lie, the prep took long AF, because I’m so damn persnickety and meticulous. But I did all the work, so you won’t have to. This is gonna SAVE TIME later.

I wanted to find the right ratio of ingredients to produce a smoothie with the consistency that I like. I have a feeling I’ll still have to make adjustments once I start blending, cause well… I’m persnickety and all. 😏

For each bag I wrote the recipe on the bag. I wrote the ingredients that were already in the bag at the top and at the bottom I wrote the ingredients that I’ll need to add once I put it in the blender.

**Tip: To help the ingredients mix well add liquid first and then ice before the other ingredients when using a large blender; and for single serve blenders, add the ice on top of the other ingredients.**

Each full bag will produce about 20oz, which is more than enough for 2 smoothies. I made about 15-20 bags. I didn’t count, it was 7am when I finished and I was tired. 🤷

I’m starting next week. I’ll take a picture of each bag when I prepare it, so that you can see it if you wanna replicate it. So make sure you check back in daily.
